Send us Fan MailAre you ready to follow your yellow brick road?  My guest today, Michael Shevack is the author of 6 books, but the one we speak about today is called Soul Lessons from the Wizard of Oz, how to follow your yellow brick road. Inspiring. intriguing and spiritual, the lessons outlined in Michael's book are there to help us learn how to experience greater happiness, greater prosperity and greater sense of self.You probably took away the lesson that "you have always had the power", as Glinda proclaims to Dorothy before she clicks her ruby red slippers. However, Michael unearths so many more nuggets of wisdom along the yellow brick road.  He espouses that all the characters from the story are part of the spiritual path to being a powerful, enlightened soul.In our conversation we talk about how life gives us lessons to help us grow, and boy did Dorothy have to navigate her way through Oz – with all the ups and downs, twists and turns and various paths to take. Just like we ourselves do as humans living right here and now. . Assisted by the Good Witch Glinda, her spirit animal Toto and her three special friends Dorothy has to learn to trust  in something higher than her will and her mind, and most importantly she has to own her own power and not give it away. And that’s just a snippet of our chat. Michael has also quthored 5 other books, was an  award winning Madison avenue advertising creative director who devised the Gillette slogan, The Best a man can get (for those of you over a certain age). He was ordained as a Rabbi in 1995, has taught spirituality and comparative religion and is active in inter-religious dialogues between Christians, Jews, Muslims and other religions in the US and across the world.Truly inspirational and I know your spark will be ignited after listening - so thanks for tuning in!
