She transitioned from a local news reporter to work for Make-A-Wish Western New York and has helped to make life-changing wishes come true for children battling critical illness. She has her hands in many campaigns and initiatives, including marketing and events in and around Buffalo, NY. Kate is also a host for Buffalo Healthy Living segments on WBBZ-TV and is the founder of Hope Rises, a good news platform with a weekly reach of 6 million+. Since starting Hope Rises, she has raised more than $150,000 for individuals and causes in the community that are in need.
