IG’s Week Ahead 21/09: Jackson Hole, flash PMI data, Zoom earnings

In a week of few big numbers, the expected economic event will doubtless be the central bankers’ get-together in Jackson Hole, Wyoming at the end of the week. Many seem to be gearing up for a hawkish collective message where the FX markets will be the area to watch. Outside of this, there’s flash PMI data in Japan, the UK, US, and across the Eurozone on Wednesday which may also be of interest to FX traders. Then on the earnings schedule Zoom Communications is on Q2 reporting after the bell on Monday where it’s not been lost on the sketch writers and cartoonists that Zoom is asking all of its staff to return to a full five day in the office. Also watch out for NVIDIA, Snowflake, Peloton, and Gap with earnings releases dotted about the week.
