IHRA: a warrant for genocide

Proletarian TV | 9 September 2026 Ian Donovan of the consistent democrats speaks at the founding conference of the Antifascist International. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is an international organisation essentially consisting of Israel and its Allies. Its core function has been to propagate the IHRA working definition of antisemitism throughout the NATO and 5-eyes countries. While purporting to “fight racism”, so thatva holocaust (Exclusively defined as an act agains the Jews) could never again happen, really it is an amalgam, that mixes two entirely different things - criticism of Israel, and antisemitism - and pretends they are the same thing. Fully seven of the 11 examples of antisemitism are really designed to indemnify Israel of criticism for its ethnic cleansing, apartheid, occupation and genocide. It is a historical fact that at least some Zionists (particularly the revisionist Zionists, led by Jabotinsky and his successors) collaborated extensively with the Nazis, as well as the “allied” imperial powers. Indeed they were also at times to go to war with their principal sponsor (Britain) to achieve their Israeli state based upon its founding genocide - the Nakba of 1948. Moreover, if Israel did NOT behave like the Nazis, it would not be necessary to state in the definition that one must in no account compare the two! In total, it can be seen that the IHRA wda is a tool to repress free speech, to indemnify Israel and the imperialist powers (USA, Britain) of their genocide, and therefore we must oppose it fully and support the legal campaign to have it thrown out of public life.
