A partire dalla seconda metà del ‘700, ebbe inizio in Inghilterra un fenomeno noto come Rivoluzione Industriale, risultato di un insieme di innovazioni economiche e sociali finalizzate a mutare la vita umana in tutti i suoi aspetti. Esso segnò un punto di svolta da un’economia sostanzialmente agricola ad una basata sulla produzione di beni tramite l’uso di macchine, rendendo l’industria (settore secondario) la principale fonte di reddito della società. Il Professore Beonio Brocchieri racconta per Storiainpodcast un fenomeno che nacque e si sviluppò alla fine del Settecento in Inghilterra e rappresentò l’incipit di una grande trasformazione dell’Europa.Vittorio H.
