Ilana Gerschlowitz is the mother of 3 sons. As an attorney in South Africa, she researched treatment options in her country after one became severely autistic, and another showed signs of autism. Finding few, she founded and directs The Star Academy. In addition to providing centre-based ABA intervention, Star Academy clinics also provide home, school, and community-based instruction, as well as training for teachers and aides in the classroom environment.
