"I'll die before I turn senile": celebrating Bob Dylan at 80

from Panicky Pictures

Happy birthday to the great Bob Dylan! This took forever to upload so it's going out a bit later than planned, but I still managed to get it out on the 24th. Title quote is from 'Cry a While', off '"Love and Theft"'. In this episode I give you a few quick recommendations of Dylan and Dylan-adjacent movies, plus some stuff that's been on the radio here in the UK. I forgot to mention it in the ep, but the Big Issue also made an 80-song playlist which is on Spotify, and that's worth checking out too.I also wanted to mark the passing of Charles Grodin last week. I was listening to 'Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands' after recording and I really thought Dylan used the phrase "midnight run", which got me excited, but I just checked and it's "midnight rug". Oh well. You can find me @panickyintheuk on twitter and Letterboxd, if you want!--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/panickypictures/message Hosted on Acast.
