from I'll Show You Mine · host Elyse Wietstock
Welcome to another episode of I'll Show You Mine! We're celebrating the end of December, aka Star Wars season, with two of the early Star Wars video games that were released in the years between the end of the original trilogy and the release of the Special Editions in the late 90s, "Star Wars: Rebel Assault" and "Star Wars: Rebel Assault 2, The Hidden Empire"Join us as we play through as much as we can stand of the original, brutally difficult "Rebel Assault" and discuss the more detailed plot and easier mechanics of the sequel. We marvel at the similarities between Luke Skywalker and the star of "Hidden Empire," Rookie One and answer the age-old question, at the end of the day, can you look at this thing and call it a Star War?Our next episode will be January 10th, when Elyse shows James "Rudolph's Shiny New Year" from 1976.Follow @isympodcast on Twitter for show updates and more, and be sure to check out twitch.tv/sparkmandesigns for streaming games and art!Our theme song is:Dreams by Joakim Karud @joakimkarudCreative Commons — Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported— CC BY-SA 3.0 creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/

What this episode covers
In Episode 62 of I’ll Show You Mine, James shows Elyse Star War: Rebel Assault 1 & 2. Developed and published by LucasArts for PC in 1993 for the first game and 1995 for the second, these sci-fi shooters mimic moments from the Star Wars film, and in the case of the sequel, create a whole new Rebel Alliance side adventure to play along with.
