I’ll Show You… The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX (1998)
from I'll Show You Mine · host Elyse Wietstock
It's time for another episode of I'll Show You Mine! This week James is showing Elyse "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX" for the Game Boy Color, released in 1998. DX is essentially a color port of the original Link's Awakening, released for the Game Boy in 1993, but a good game doesn't really need too many changes.Join us as we dive in to this odd duck in the Zelda franchise, a handheld Zelda game that doesn't take place in Hyrule, involves none of the main characters we've come to know, and might all... be a dream? We'll get into the inspiration for this game, the meta humor of it, and James says "obtuse" a lot, because it's a good word to describe this delightfully eerie chapter in the Zelda series. Obtuse. Our next episode will be October 25th, when Elyse shows James "The Quiet Family" from 1998.Follow @isympodcast on Twitter for show updates and more, and be sure to check out twitch.tv/sparkmandesigns for streaming games and art!Our theme song is:Dreams by Joakim Karud @joakimkarudCreative Commons — Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported— CC BY-SA 3.0 creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/
