The extension keeps Underwood in Champaign through the 2028 season and bumps his salary up $300,000 and adds an additional $200,000 in annual retention bonus. Illinois also lost another player to the transfer portal this week as Omar Payne begins looking for somewhere else to play his college career. South Carolina won the Women’s NCAA Tournament, beating UConn 64-49 on Sunday night.
