Illinois Driver Gets Big Ticket in Calgary | Calgary News

A driver from Illinois got nailed for speeding 122 km/h in a Calgary construction zone—where the limit was just 80. Pulled over at 2 AM, he’s facing a $596 ticket and a court date in October. Miss the deadline? An arrest warrant could follow if he ever returns to Alberta. Police stress these limits are enforced 24/7, no matter the hour or whether workers are present. A stark warning: when you’re on the road, especially in unfamiliar territory, obey the signs—or risk serious consequences.
