Illinois State Trooper accused of sexual assault ordered to remain in custody

​54-year-old Douglas Lee was stripped of his police powers and ordered held at Cook County Jail on August 1st, after he was arrested and charged earlier that week, according to court records and Illinois State Police. ​Prosecutors say in August 2025, Lee secretly drugged a woman he knew in Tinley Park, drove her to a hotel in Midlothian and sexually assaulted her. Prosecutors say the woman could not remember what happened. She called Lee, asking for an explanation, and he told her they had consensual intercourse.
