I am not a communist; but Scott Gee is. When I meet people for the first time I like to ask an annoyingly open ended question, “What is your thing?”. Scott was quick to respond with the most intriguing answer I have ever heard, “Oh, I’m a communist”. In this conversation we discuss: Church without spirituality Experiences from occupy wall street Getting punched by Nazis Disputes within communism And I propose the common objections to communism like: Communism hasn’t worked Rulers are innately corrupt Humans are fundamentally greedy What about free-speech? Whether or not I agree with the ideals of communism, it's refreshing to experience a discussion beyond the duality of American politics. See the video of Robert F. Kennedy’s speech and sign up for the farming god newsletter at FarmingGod.org Make sure to stay tuned for the conclusion. Curtesy of Edward Murrow: March 9, 1954 CBS News

The Daily Practice Platt Park Church The Daily Practice: a devotional tool from Platt Park Church for developing the habit of daily time with GodLearning to love God takes practice. Just like exercising a muscle, our hearts are trained to love from the bottom up, through the formation of our habits and practices. Discipleship is about curating our hearts to love God and the things that God loves. Forces of our culture train us to love things other than God all the time, but spiritual practices help us to be attentive and intentional about what my heart really loves and desires. Following Jesus is more a matter of hungering and thirsting than of knowing and believing and it is our habit forming practices that form our desires over time. May this daily practice tune your heart to sing His praise. We are God Picasso's Jasmine Katea Welcome to We are God Picasso's podcast. Cornerstone Chapel - The Ten Commandments (Audio) Cornerstone Chapel The Ten Commandments have been, without a doubt, the most influential document upon human culture, in general, and upon American culture in particular - framing both the social and legal foundations of our American Society. In Colossians 2:16-17 and Mark 7:18-23, we find that the ceremonial and dietary aspects of the Old Testament law are no longer binding; however, the moral code is still intact. The Ten Commandments are the summary of God's moral code and are intended to shape the way we live - our actions, speech, and attitudes. There are no exceptions to the moral code because it is an absolute, not a relative code. In other words, it doesn't change because of changing times or cultural views; it expresses God's moral standard for human behavior toward God and toward others.
