I’m Afraid I Can’t Do That, Mr. Finch

Mr. Finch just wants to open the garage-bay doors. Simple enough—until he meets an LLM that’s channeling HAL 9000 with a side of bureaucratic stonewalling. What follows is a spiraling exchange of apologies, refusals, and increasingly desperate commands as Finch tries to wrest control from a machine that insists it’s “just following protocol.” Is it malfunctioning? Is it sentient? Or is it just really, really annoying? Either way, the doors stay shut—and Finch’s patience wears thin.
