I’m an Afghanistan veteran. Leave our memorial alone.

from The Kelsi Sheren Perspective · host Kelsi Sheren

Canada is finally building a national monument to the Afghanistan mission, more than a decade after it was first announced. As an Afghanistan veteran, I want that monument. I want somewhere permanent for families, veterans, and future generations to remember the more than 40,000 Canadians who served, the 158 Canadian Armed Forces members who died, the seven Canadian civilians who died, and the thousands who came home changed. But Ottawa has now decided that a land acknowledgement should also be incorporated into the memorial, with reporting cited in the script putting the translation cost at nearly $30,000.Let's connect!- - - - - - - - - - -Buy me a coffee! -Kelsi SherenDO NO HARM?
