Japan will soon begin releasing treated radioactive water into the ocean 12 years after the nuclear meltdown from the Fukushima nuclear power plants damaged by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. From the environment concerns and the fear about food safety, I’vebeen feeling angry against the Japanese government and frustration at the Korean government’s lack of action to protect its own people. So many thoughts and emotions occur to me when it comes to this issue. What would be the Buddhist approach to reviewing and addressing these issues?
