I'm Back! 2 Shorts Done + Update on Scripts & American Film Market - 10/26/2020: A Phil Svitek Vlog

from A Phil Svitek Podcast - A Series From Your 360 Creative Coach · host Phil Svitek

In this edition of my vlog I open up about completing two short films within one week. Yes, there were many challenges especially since one film was VFX heavy but what was great was working with like minded people (Courtney Stewart - @StewartStarlit, Danielle Argyros - @DanielleArgyros & Morgan Lester - @unofficialmorgan). Then I talk about the distinction between maintenance tasks vs growth tasks. (For more info on this, check out these two episodes: 1) https://philsvitek.com/scientific-way-to-combat-procrastination/ & 2) https://philsvitek.com/dealing-with-everyday-tasks/). Afterwards, I talk about a table read I participated in over the weekend and what the next steps for my friend are. This leads me to provide an update on my new script In Search of Sunrise, which will have a table read this Thursday. More importantly though, I share info about an opportunity to have it be part of the American Film Market and what that means. Finally, I round things off by talking about the need for each of us to recognize and embrace "downhills", how virtual sets are game changes for production (https://www.insider.com/green-screen-virtual-sets-mandalorian-2020-4) and mentoring college Emersonians. Please share your thoughts down below or hit me up on social media @PhilSvitek. Lastly, for more free resources from your 360 creative coach, check out my website at http://philsvitek.com.
