Even though they portray this public persona of grandiosity and success, they are deeply insecure people, with extremely low self esteem, and fragile egos. They cover it up to the world with their false image that they project to the world. It’s a false narrative that they perpetuate to the whole world. They live in this fantasy world where they are gods they are not going to allow others to change that about themselves. This is why projection works for them to protect their fragile ego, but at your expense.
