I'm Not Here for Cookies & a Makeout (Ep 8)

I came back from the beach with sand in my panties, a little too much sun on my face, and a realization I can’t shake:I didn’t get sober and quit nicotine so that I could eat cookies.And I haven’t spent the last six years with an unrelenting passion for being a part of y’all finding a pal or a makeout buddy (though hear me now, GOD I LOVE IT WHEN YOU DO!).I started Coffee With Kam to be a part of something bigger than me, and to build a space where we can all inspire each other to be more, feel more, say more, and live more than any one of us could ever do, say, or experience alone.So I’m thinking about creating a daily Bean Team space here at Coffee Unfiltered — not a fitness cult, not toxic positivity, not perfection — just real lesbians/Qs aging together while sharing one thing each morning that we are going to commit to for ourselves.One thing we find difficult to do when the only person we have to answer to is ourselves… but can not only do, but feel inspired to do, when we know there’s another bean out here cheering us on and looking for a little motivation to do her/their THING as well.Mountain bikes. Morning walks. Going to bed early. Not boozin’. Skipping the cookies. Calling an old friend who’s been on our to-do list too long. Healing. Dancing. Flirting. Surviving.
