"I'm Praying for the Extinction of Flies." (Family Rosary Across America)

👉 Fr. Rocky is broadcasting from Washington Island, where it’s sunny, breezy, and apparently overrun by fishing boats thanks to a tournament in Lake Michigan. He’s clearly living his best summer life—jumping in the water, celebrating Mass, soaking up the sunshine. Maggie is co-hosting, bringing her usual warmth and smiles. 👉 Prayer intentions roll in Nine-year-old Catherine from Illinois calls in to pray for help and for St. Michael’s protection.  👉 And then… the comedy gold.Father Rocky shares an “unusual” prayer request someone sent in; they are asking for the extinction of two species, Tabanus striatus and Drosophila melanogaster. Any guesses? They’re flies. Specifically: a horsefly and a housefly. 😂 As Father Rocky is reading this, a fly LITERALLY starts buzzing around Maggie.Maggie’s laughing, Father Rocky’s swatting, and we’re all imagining St. Michael getting ready with his heavenly flyswatter.
