Charlie Kaufman is perhaps one of the most articulate filmmakers making movies today. From his debut with Being John Malkovich to Adaption and the fan-favorite Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Kaufman knows how to tell stories. A common theme in all of his films are his depictions of mental health. In his new movie, I’m Thinking of Ending Things, Kaufman brings Iain Reid’s 2016 book to life in a story about a girlfriend meeting her boyfriend’s parents. Kaufman tackles themes of the value of life, age, depression, and more throughout this Netflix original film.
