I'm Wired For This | Pastor Eric Brown

from Sundays at Beth-EL

In this sermon, Pastor Eric explores Judges 7:4-8, where God tests Gideon's army by observing how they drink water. The 300 men who remained alert while drinking (lapping like dogs) were chosen for battle, while the others were sent home. The pastor connects this to neuroscience, explaining how the men who lapped demonstrated vigilance and attentional control - qualities essential for battle. The sermon emphasizes that God has 'wired' men with specific instincts and mental characteristics to fulfill their purpose.
