V. Lynn Whitfield, a Cleveland native, graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and has practiced law in South Florida for over forty years. She began her career as an Assistant State Attorney and worked for the Public Defender’s Office in Palm Beach County. Later, she served as an Assistant City Attorney for West Palm Beach before opening her own criminal defense and municipal law practice. She has also been City Attorney for North Miami and Hallandale Beach. Whitfield has appeared as a legal commentator for WPBF Channel 25 and has been honored for her community service and professional contributions.
