Vision and values provide that thread, whether discussing career direction, business strategy, or any other creative pursuit. When people feel stuck at some place in their lives, they've either never had or have lost touch with a clear vision of their paths. I like the book, Start With Why by Simon Sinek, and I feel like the things he points to help visions form, but the Why by itself isn't enough. It's only the beginning.
