Generosity, this message contends, has far less to do with income than with the heart. Statistics comparing low-income, high-giving states with wealthier, low-giving ones make the case that more money does not make a person more generous — a changed heart does. Four levels of giving are mapped from Scripture: simple giving, the tithe, generosity (tithes plus offerings), and sacrificial giving that holds nothing back.
