Imago Dei: Generosity From the Heart of God — Week 4

Closing the Imago Dei series, this message turns from money and time to the talents and abilities God entrusts — framed not as a suggestion but as a commission for every follower of Jesus. Four “careers” God assigns are developed from Scripture. We are fishers of people (Matthew 4), called to make disciples, not merely receive salvation; gardeners (1 Corinthians 3), who plant and water while God gives the growth; general contractors (1 Corinthians 3:10–15), whose work is tested by fire; and bodybuilders (Ephesians 4), who build up the church as God's temple. The judgment in view is the bema seat — about rewards, not salvation — so that present stewardship carries eternal weight. The recurring distinction is between knowing what God commands and actually doing it.
