Editorial Reviews: The disappearance of the crew of the Mary Celeste, in the Atlantic Ocean, in 1872, has been one of the more puzzling maritime mysteries of the past few centuries. Actor David Whiteley's voice is precise and dramatic here as he outlines the strange story, its popularity via Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictionalized version, and the many explanations that have been offered for the vanishing of the crew. Overall, an enjoyable and even-handed introduction to the mingling of fact and fiction that surrounds this odd tale.
