Imminent / October 19
from FBC Allen - Sermons Hosted by FBC Allen
Passage: James 5:1-12 The imminent return of Jesus Christ should fundamentally transform how we live today. James 5:1-12 reveals three key ways this reality should impact our daily lives. First, we must do the good that is in our power to do without delay, acting with holy urgency rather than putting off acts of service and kindness. Second, we should take heart and find strength in God's faithfulness, establishing our hearts by remembering His past provision and trusting His promises. Third, we must remember those faithful believers who have gone before us, drawing inspiration from prophets and saints who endured suffering while remaining faithful to God's call. Living with awareness of Christ's return means being people of integrity whose word can be trusted, actively stewarding what God has entrusted to us, and maintaining joyful expectation of His coming.
