Overcoming The Top-10 Mental Obstacles In Sport - https://go.sportmind.io/Mastery The SportMind Portal - https://go.sportmind.io/Portal Grab Your Copy Of The Squash Playbook - https://www.squashplaybook.com/ ⚫️💨 --------------------------- Today I have on the show Imogen Wolsey. Imogen is a registered dietician with Symprove Ltd. and combines her interest in gut microbiome, her love for meeting new people, and her enthusiasm for educating others on gut health and the role of probiotics. Imogen was an elite distance runner and we explore her story and journey and how she developed a chronic eating disorder that was linked to her gut health. This had tremendous negative effects on her as well as her emotional and mental wellbeing. She opens up and shares with us some really powerful stuff on this subject and any athlete out there suffering in this way should really listen to this. We take many different and varied routes on the show and she shares how she is working on her balance in her life as well as her journey through her studies and her sport. She is involved in research at the forefront of gut health, which is evolving all the time. A highlight we talk about today is the recent and ongoing research into the role of the gut microbiome and Parkinson’s disease. Some really groundbreaking and inspiring work being done here. As always if you feel the show warrants it, please do share with those that may benefit from the topics we discussed today as my hope would be to get the message out as far and wide as possible to help people going through similar things. Please do enjoy.
