Impact of Potential Rail Strike, Mental health Moment, and City of Calgary Eco Centres
from The Morning Brew with Andrew Schultz · host Corus Radio
The Business Council of Alberta teaming up with business groups from across Canada in calling on the Federal Government to use all available tools to prevent a potential work stoppage on Canada’s national rail network. We invited Adam Legge. President of the Business Council of Alberta to explain how a potential strike by both of Canada’s rail companies, at the same time, would impact Alberta. In our mental health moment this week, we focused on youth mental health and social media. With so much pressure on kids, especially as they’re getting ready to head back to school, we invited our social worker and mental health advocate Karen Gallagher-Burt to join us and talk about the added pressures of social media and how parents can keep the communication lines open. Is it time to get rid of the clutter and junk around your house! The City of Calgary is making it easier to dispose of, and recycle, unwanted household items. Sharon Howland is with Waste & Recycling Services at the City of Calgary and she tells us all about the new Eco Centres available to us.
