Implementing a Records Management System with NIBRS Compliance

Records Management Systems, or RMS, gather and store reliable data, which, in turn, allows for the measured planning and informed policing as well as the capability to track trends and detect changes in crime patterns. Each RMS utilizes its own reporting methodology, but in less than two years, every agency RMS must employ a new methodology called the National Incident-Based Reporting System.
