Imposter Syndrome

from Empower Connect Conversations · host Carolyn McClain

Imposter syndrome stems from self-doubt and the pressure to compare ourselves with others. It is just a story that we tell ourselves. It is not a true picture of the truth. But when you allow yourself to succumb to it, it stops you from growing. It stops you from achieving your purpose. The secret to overcoming imposter syndrome is to focus all your energy not on trying to please others, but on building the new you. It starts by remembering. apart from Christ — we are always striving toward love, toward acceptance, toward forgiveness. You must realize you’re not a fraud. Recognize God’s providence for you. Your confidence must be rotted in God’s faithfulness. Your identity is secured in God. You are not defined by your feelings. You have a purpose for your life. You are not alone. Know yours strength and weakness Today choose to align yourself with God’s Word and resist the urge to give into your feelings of Imposter Syndrome. Your life is a gift and the world need the light inside of you to shine bright. ___________________________________________________________________________ www.carolyncoaching.com. “God empower you to connect, forgive and grow.
