November 6, 2024 IFPRI’s 2024 Global Food Policy flagship publication arrives at a pivotal moment, as the importance of addressing food systems for better nutrition continues to gain global recognition. With United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 29th Conference of the Parties taking place in November, the SUN Global Gathering on the horizon and the Nutrition for Growth Summit 2025, this report offers valuable evidence and insights that can help guide policy and investment decisions for improving nutrition at the national, regional and global levels. In addition to a presentation of the report’s key findings and recommendations by IFPRI’s leading researchers in diets and nutrition, a distinguished panel of European and country partner policy makers, and representatives of multilateral institutions will discuss the report. Expert remarks will focus on key challenges and opportunities for EU stakeholders to support the transformation of food systems to advance nutrition and healthy diets in low and middle-income countries. This event and strategic discussion is co-organized by IFPRI, the Netherlands Food Partnership, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security, and Nature.
