In A Manner of Speaking- Prayer No. 5 Elijah on Mount Carmel

There is so much drama in 1 Kings 18. Elijah is called upon to give testimony to the greatness of God. More specifically, he is to bring about a show down between the servants of Baal and the God of Israel. The event is filled with drama and a spectacular display of God's power. The prayer of Elijah is in contrast, very short and to the point especially when compared to the sideshow demonstrated by the Baal worshipers.
