IN CONVERSATION: Jules Von Hep

from Shameless · host Shameless Media

Happy Thursday to all our fine-footed friends in the world! Today on the show we are joined by Jules Von Hep, who we also like to refer to as a human ray of sunshine. Jules is a celebrity tanning expert, the founder of tanning juggernaut Isle of Paradise, co-host of the Jules and Sarah podcast and champion of body confidence. We first met Jules last year when we hosted MECCALAND and were immediately drawn to him: he is one of the kindest, warmest, most exuberant humans we have ever had the pleasure of meeting through this job. Yes, Jules is a tanning expert - and has tanned some of the most famous women in the world - but goodness, he is also so much more than that. Jules is a warrior for body confidence, infusing much of his ethos about loving and embracing our bodies on his Instagram feed and in his brand. A quick plot twist before we jump into this chat - Zara wasn’t actually there. She fell ill on the morning we were due to record with Jules and, because he lives in London, it was impossible to re-schedule. So, while she had huge amounts of FOMO listening to this one back, she loved SO much getting the pleasure of enjoying this one as a listener. Mich and Jules cover everything from his battle with an eating disorder as a young man, to tanning celebrities like Kendall Jenner to the birth of his mammoth, internationally stocked beauty brand, Isle of Paradise. For more from Jules, you can find him @julesvonhep and @theisleofparadise. As always, we are @shamelesspodcast. Thank you so much to today’s sponsor DiDi.
