In Conversation With Mouse Wilson On Healing Through Radical Self-Expression, Being Intentional, Moving On With The Support of Others, and More!

from The Soul's Conquest · host Madhurima Sappatti

Tune in to today's podcast episode to listen to the journey of Mouse Wilson! Beginning with a life-altering suicide attempt, Mouse Wilson has since dedicated himself to self-love and healing. In this podcast episode, Madhurima Sappatti and Mouse Wilson discussed the importance of self-expression, self-acceptance, and healing, as well as the narrative around psychedelics, setting intentions, and taking action. They also discussed the importance of addressing the root causes of life's issues and taking action to implement epiphanies and insights. Mouse shared his story of struggling with being kind to others but harsh on himself, and how he found healing through radical self-expression. He discussed his journey of learning to be kind to himself, including accepting his physical limitations. They both agreed that epiphanies and insights are important, but without an action plan to implement them, they are effectively useless. Mouse Wilson - Men’s Weight Loss Coach Navy veteran, cyborg, that dropped a total of 120 Lb. Mouse is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Substance Use Recovery Coach, Mental Health First Aid Responder, and Weight-loss Life Coach. He gently empowers men that feel uncomfortably overweight to have active, healthy, and balanced lifestyles. And this is his journey in a bite - When I was 300 lbs I used to get winded climbing in and out of bed, I was constantly drained and fatigued, and I lost all interest in sex and actually living. In April 2018, after suffering nine years of nerve pain I was out of hope and chose to end my life. I spent 36 hours in the ICU and a week in the VA hospital after intentionally overdosing on my anti-depressants. My Transformation began when I chose to live while being driven to the ER. I know what hopeless and helpless feel like. I’ve been where you're at and I know a way out. For decades I struggled with depression, chronic pain, and negative body image and I blamed it on everyone and everything else. I spent uncounted hours (and energy) blaming my doctors for not “fixing” me, eating junk food, drinking two litres of Mt Dew a day, taking opiates for pain… and it left me exhausted, defeated, and bitter. Then ONE thing changed. (Spoiler Alert: I didn’t do it alone!) I finally decided to take responsibility for my choices. I sought out support and asked for help. I took courses, participated in various training, and mentors, had vulnerable conversations with friends, and I got a coach! I went from being too rigid to touch my toes or go for a walk to palming the ground and walking daily. Now, my clients get healthy, active, and feel comfortable in their skin. His mission is to work together with men so that they can be healthy, active and have the lifestyle they intentionally choose. Reach out to Mouse here - https://clevermousecoach.mailchimpsites.com/
