University of Limpopo (UL) Tax Clinic, where Tax Ombud Ms Yanga Mputa will participate in a panel discussion on the role of tax clinics in advancing taxpayer rights, social justice, and tax compliance. The launch marks a significant step towards improving access to taxpayer support and education, particularly for underserved communities. By providing practical assistance and guidance, the clinic aims to empower taxpayers, promote voluntary compliance, and contribute to a more inclusive tax system. Ms Mputa will join experts and stakeholders in a discussion under the theme: “Tax Clinics as Catalysts of Access to Taxpayer Rights, Social Justice, and Compliance.” During the session, she will highlight the importance of accessible taxpayer support services, and the role tax clinics play in strengthening taxpayer rights, improving awareness, and building trust in tax administration.
