Today's guest is Maria J. Avila, a Pulitzer-prize-winning photojournalist based in San Francisco, California. Originally from Los Angeles, Maria was a member of the Rocky Mountain News photo staff awarded the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Spot News covering the wildfires. In her 25-plus-year career as a photographer and editor, she has specialized in documentary, news, editorial, and food photography.
