Scripture reading: 1 Samuel 28 Reflection: Think back to a time you felt justified in doing what felt right, though it may not have been God’s full instruction? Remembering what Saul was motivated by, what were your motivations? What sort of things did you resort to when you felt that you couldn’t pray or seek Him clearly? Did you put yourself or others in danger (at risk)? How might God still have shown you mercy? What was the final outcome? When is the last time you sincerely repented to God for all sins, knowingly and unknowingly? How often do you repent? Are you more likely to repent when you feel that you’ve done something wrong or when you aren’t sure you’ve done something right?
