In Hope We Are Saved
from The Pilgrim Soul Hosted by Sofia, Adrianna, and Giuliana
Giuli and Sofia discuss hope, a certainty in the future that arises from recognizing the presence of Christ today. What are “schools” for learning and practicing hope? What is the relationship between hope and faith? Is Christian hope individualistic? Who in our lives shows us what it means to live in hope? // Our media recommendation is Charles Peguy’s poem The Portal of the Mystery of Hope (of which you can find an excerpt at www.eighthdayinstitute.org/hope-surprises-god). And our monthly challenge is to pray the rosary, begging Our Lady to give you her own hope. // We’d love to hear from you! Write to us at [email protected] or find us on Instagram at @pilgrimsoulpodcast. Our website is www.pilgrimsoulpodcast.com. // Other resources we mention: Pope Benedict XVI’s encyclical Spe Salvi Adrienne Von Speyr’s work Objective Mysticism The second volume of Luigi Giussani’s trilogy “Is it possible to live this way?” Padre Pio’s novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus TS Eliot’s “Choruses from the Rock”. // Our theme music is Nich Lampson’s “Dolphin Kicks.”
