In Jesus Name: Praying in His Name | Ross Savill

The Bible teaches that when we pray and make our requests to God, we are to ask in the name of Jesus. "In Jesus name" is not like a magical key that unlocks the door for our requests. “In Jesus name” is not a secret code for always getting what we want from God, that he is somehow obliged to give us what we want. However it is important that we ask in Jesus name. “In Jesus name” is in part recognition of our ongoing need for grace, and our acknowledgement that all that we have and ask for is because of Jesus our saviour.
