In Need of a Maintenance Plan (1Cor 11.23-29) - 3-6-22

Scripture texts are 2Sam 12.1-7 and 1Cor 11.23-29. Today’s subject is “In Need of a Maintenance Plan.”If Satan can get the Body of Christ to focus on our differences instead of our common mission, the Great Commission, we become less effective. He hits us with weapons of mass distractions.The Corinthians gathered to commemorate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus via Holy Communion but they quickly moved from a focus on Christ to a focus on themselves. Paul said to them examine yourself to make sure your head, your heart, your spirit is in the right place honoring the LORD Jesus. Paul is saying the same thing to you and me today. He is telling us via the Holy Spirit don’t just go through the motions. Check yourself before you wreck yourself!Get on a spiritual maintenance plan with the LORD. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us aligned with the Holy Spirit as we get on your spiritual maintenance plan for us. Amen.
