What does the future hold for us? Is 2014 going to be a good year? We can live with the assumption that things are continually on the upswing. Maybe last year was tough, but next year will be better. The Magi were optimistic as well, but maybe not the way we are. Their optimism was not based on the world improving itself and the Roman developing and evolving into a glorious nation of peace and tranquility. They saw that the ruling powers and kingdoms are ultimately headed in the wrong direction. The only hope and optimism for a bright future was born in Bethlehem - the One the Magi were led to by the star. Only in the Kingdom of the Son of Man will the world know peace - a peace and a Kingdom that will never end! And the Saints of God will rule there in perfect peace with their King!
