In The Booth 141 feat. Charles Ford

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

It's the last episode of SITB for 2020!! I am very excited to share this interview with the multi-talented lighting, staging, and production designer Charles Ford! I studied Media Production in college and really enjoyed this interview with Charles. It's not often where I just walk in and everything is set up PERFECTLY! So glad we got to do the interview at his multimedia studio called "Vue Show Design" in Bolingbrook, IL In episode 141 we discussed: -Early inspirations and experiences: Charles has always had a passion for stage design and was very involved with his school's theatre performances. -His career thus far: Charles has been all over the world setting the stage for artists like Chris Brown, Carly Rae Jepsen, Panic! At The Disco, Mary J Blige and even Prince! -Behind-The-Scenes of a show: With over a decade of experience in the industry, Charles has worn many hats over the years. He gave us a full breakdown on how everyone plays a part in making a live performance one to remember -The future of the music industry: So many staff members of venues worldwide have suffered this year and gone without work. However, Charles and I are very optimistic that the venues are going to come together in collaborative and creative ways to help each other. I have mad respect for Charles and everyone else who works behind the scenes in the industry - They are such an integral part of what makes this scene so special Thanks for coming on Charles! linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
