In the deep end with Melody Pool

from Already Saturday Hosted by Already Saturday

Melody Pool is an Australian singer songwriter who is responsible for two of the finest albums of the past ten years: 2013's The Hurting Scene, and 2016 follow-up Deep Dark Savage Heart. She is currently on tour for the first time in years, but had her plans interrupted by the Melbourne lockdown. We talk to her about the financial and emotional toll such lockdowns have on touring musicians, why she almost quit music, and how her long-awaited third album is coming along. Grab tickets to her tour (dates below) at www.melodypool.com.au and check out her fantastic records if you haven't already had the pleasure. Already Saturday is an independent podcast hosted by Sydney-based journalists Phoebe Loomes and Nathan Jolly.
