Each rape case that we’ve ever heard of makes us think for the victim “What an awful thing she went through” “She must be traumatised” and the discussion almost always revolves around the victim “Was she alone? What was she doing out late at night?"While it’s only human to feel empathetic towards the victim, what we miss is to comprehend the deep-rooted causes. Less often do we sit and think why a rapist rapes or what could’ve been so triggering for him that it led to such a monstrous act? What was going on in his mind?
