In The Service of Humanity - Fr. Ed Foley 1.19.25

As we pause to honor Martin Luther King Jr. this week, it’s a moment to reflect on his vision and ask: If he were alive today, would he see a world closer to the dream he so powerfully articulated on August 28, 1963? Would he see progress toward justice, peace, and equality, or would he still find work undone? Today, we challenge ourselves with this same question: Have we been part of that progress? Have we put our faith into action to build a world where all are truly free and equal? Today, Father Ed Foley reminds us that social justice isn't just a lofty goal—it’s a responsibility, deeply rooted in faith, that calls each of us to act to ensure that the dream of equality and justice continues to move forward.
