In with the New

In with the New | Burnt Hickory Baptist Church The beginning of a new year is often filled with goals and plans—but what about your walk with God? In this episode, we talk through how to build a stronger foundation for spiritual growth by setting your mind on things above, putting off the old self, and actively walking with Christ. This message gives you seven practical steps to keep your faith from being just a feeling and start living out real change. Key Insights: Spiritual growth requires daily intentionality—you won’t accidentally grow closer to Jesus without effort. Your mindset matters—setting your focus on Christ is the first step to real transformation. You must actively put sin to death—it won’t just fade over time. Confront it and replace it with godly habits. We grow best in community—faith isn’t meant to be lived in isolation. Join the church body and serve. Forgiveness and love are essential—holding grudges stunts spiritual growth, but grace keeps us united.
