Inaugural photo contest being held at WAMBO 2025

from Sydenham Current Sessions · host Sydenham Current

Wallaceburg is turning 150, and WAMBO is marking the occasion with something brand new — a photo contest that invites everyone to join in the celebration. Whether you’re snapping shots of vintage cars, sleek boats, flashing fire trucks, gleaming motorcycles, crowds of excited people, or the energy of live entertainment, this contest is your chance to capture the spirit of the weekend through your lens. Participants can submit up to five photos showcasing any aspect of WAMBO 2025. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top five entries, with first through fifth place winners all receiving recognition. Keep in mind that only photographs taken during this year’s event will be accepted, so previous years’ snapshots won’t qualify. Those interested in taking part can visit the WAMBO website, here. Organizer and WAMBO Director Brian Armitage shared all of the details. Alternatively, you can request a form by emailing [email protected] with “WAMBO Photo Contest” as the subject line. This is a moment worth preserving—and your photos might just become part of Wallaceburg’s history.
