Inclusivity and the State of Trance | BnB RavePod | Ep.25

The current popularity of EDM is at an all time high. In its current state we have an ever evolving scene and a community that is growing all across the world. What many people don’t realize is the foundation of where we are in 2024 is largely due to the groundwork laid by the LGBT over the many years. The community was one of the first to embrace EDM and provide a safe space, inclusion and freedom of expression which now resonates throughout our current scene. Our guest for this episode and member of the LGBT community, Victor has seen first hand how this influence has evolved the current Toronto scene as well as other parts of the world. He shares with us his knowledge on where in Toronto and North America we can find LGBT catered events, why representation still matters  as well as the difficulties the community still faces.  The Trance scene also resonates heavily within the LGBT community as well as with Victor. As admin of the Trance Family Toronto Facebook group he too has seen challenges over the years with the rapid decline in Trance popularity after Covid. The hosts and Victor discuss all things Trance in Toronto highlighting key issues the scene faces and what we as community members can do to help.
